President Raul Castro received on Friday his Excellency Dr. Mohamed El Baradei, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency.

Raul and the distinguished visitor exchanged views on some of the main challenges facing humanity and expressed their satisfaction with the results of the collaboration between our country and the UN organization resposinble for promoting cooperation in the peaceful use of nuclear energy.

Dr. El Baradei appreciated the opportunity to conduct this visit to Cuba and to get to know directly the efforts and work of the Cuban people.

Also present were Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla and José M. Miyar Barruecos, ministers of Foreign Affairs and of Science, Technology and the Environment, respectively.
