It was created a few months after the Triumph of the Cuban Revolution in Regla Municipality, a picturesque urban town of the capital city, and during all these years they have been awarded several national and international prizes.

The Guaracheros de Regla comparsa gives colors to the traditional carnival of this capital every year. Because of their tradition and Cubaness, they are a representative show of the best cultural roots of this nation.

Miguel Barnet, president of the Cuban Writers and Artists Union, expressed his admiration for that group of professionals, workers and students who established a new concept to the comparsas with their original choreographies and music, according to their stage projection.
