It will be open to the public until early November, and includes 78 pieces brought from Havana, reports Granma newspaper.
The visiting public has been particularly drawn to the “Del Tercer Mundo” canvas, brought from the Fine Arts National Museum in Havana city, as well as to the contributions of other important collectors and institutions, like Juan Castillo Vázquez, a relative of the late painter, who lent nine pieces, part of his collection also located in Havana.
The specialists were particularly grateful for the lectures given by the curator of the Cuban Fine Arts National Museum, Rogelio Cobas some weeks ago on Wilfredo Lam’s works and life.
