The group of solidarity with Cuba in Salamanca called on Thursday for a day and a night of solidarity with the island, to enjoy cultural activities and collect funds to send to Cubans.

The State coordinator of solidarity with Cuba and the Cuba-Toledo Solidarity Association appealed for increasing aid to Cuba.

Cuba was hit by two powerful hurricanes within 10 days which damaged almost half a million houses, agriculture, industries and the power and telephone lines.

The document drafted by these associations read that "Cuba's recovery is everyone's

responsibility" and recalled the fast and effective help Cubans have given to any nation hit by disasters.
