They have devoted hundreds of hours to work the fields in banana plantations in Sabanilla, northern Camaguey, as well as in recovery of the Elementary and Middle-School Student Center and the cleaning of roads, according to ACN (the Cuban News Agency.)

These members of the International Friends of Cuba Brigade have also been involved in recovery efforts in the Camaguey University, the Jose Marti Pedagogical Institute and the Carlos J. Finlay Medical School.

The future physicians, who have also worked in hospitals and polyclinics, were duly sheltered in evacuation centers as the hurrican smashed the Island.
