Professor Mario Galizzi, a choreographer of important ballet companies in Puerto Rico, the United States, Brazil, Paraguay, Venezuela and Peru has conceived this gala as well as two more in the San Martín and 25 de Mayo theaters, this last one a theater room that is celebrating its reopening.
The first of the two halves in which the dance program is divided is called Four love stories, and it is directed by the current Joint Assessor of the Artistic Direction of the Theatro Colón Ballet, who also has the same port in the SODRE Ballet, in Montevideo, Uruguay.
In that part, there will be famous duets interpreted, which will highlight the love feelings, and it will be the occasion in which the Cuban couple will interpret Muñecos, a choreography of Alberto Méndez, music by Rembert Egües and wardrobe by Salvador Fernández.
The second part of the program will be The Virtuous and it includes famous Pas de deux, among which predominates technical virtuosity, an opportunity for Valdés and Frómeta to entertain the public with Don Quijote.
This piece with choreography by Alicia Alonso on the original of Marius Petipa and the version of Anatole Obukov, uses the music by Ludwig Minkus, and the wardrobe by Salvador Fernández.
