The National Culture Investigation Award (2001) and National Dance Award (2002), pointed out that the dictionary will have more than four thousand entries of poets, in almost a hundred African languages, among them ancient Egyptian, Arab, Swahili, Yoruba of the thousand three hundred languages that are spoke there.
He pointed out that the book in which he has worked for 45 years is currently undergoing edition by the Editorial Arte y Literatura and he expects it will come to light in 2010.
About the word Tarik, he uses in the title, the Honorary Doctor of the Higher Art Institute Commented that it has an Arab origin and it means collection, study or treaty.
The International Fernando Ortiz Award (2004) added that that word was frequently used in Islam literature from the 15, 16 and 17 century among the intellectuals from the San Koré University and in Tombuctu, in the Rpublic of Mali.
As a predecessor of the Pequeño Tarik he mentioned seven published volumes of African Diwan: Poets with a French Expression (1988); Diwan, Poets of African Languages (1996); and African Diwan: Poets with a Portuguese Expression (2000).
According to Nancy Morejón, 2001 National Literature Award, nothing is even comparable to this jewel in this matter, which is the most important piece made in Spanish language.
