Kcho's work deals about such topics as insularity, emigration and identity dilemmas.
His paintings are part of important collections such as that of the Museum of Modern Art of New York (MOMA), which also has works by the most universal Cuban painter, Wifredo Lam.
Other works are in private collections like that of Peter Ludwig, in Germany, or have been sold at prestigious auction houses such as Christie's and Sotheby's.
According to experts, Kcho's work portrays a symbolism of elements from Cuba's roots and insular condition, including boats, oars, palm trees and the island's geography.
