Between August 22nd and 31st, Casa de las Américas will participate in the tenth series of the Festival of the Arts in the Caribbean (Carifesta X), held in Guyana, represented by a delegation leaded by the poet Nancy Morejón, winner of the National Literature Prize, and Yolanda Wood, director of the Centre for Studies on the Caribbean from that institution.

Casa will have a stand with books, CDs, posters and souvenirs from Cuba, as well as poetry reading and a lecture on its work, on the occasion of the 50 th anniversary of its opening, next year. The event will take place under the motto “One Caribbean, One Purpose, Our Culture, Our Life!”
