The prize-winning Exaudi Chamber Choir of Cuba begins its first tour of Chile

After its debut in the Chilean capital, Exaudi will perform in Talca, Valdivia, Temuco, Viña del Mar and Valparaiso through August 24.
Founded in 1987, the 12-voice choir has been acclaimed at festivals and other performances in Cuba, Hungary, Venezuela, Spain, Bulgaria, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, France, Norway, Belgium, Italy, Ecuador, Argentina, Mexico, Brazil, Australia, New Zealand, United States, Canada and Turkey.
Perez has been a visiting international professor at the Music Institute of the Catholic University of Chile and others. She has given workshops in Santiago, Valparaiso and Osorno.
The Exaudi Chamber Choir has recorded 14 discs of Cuban baroque and contemporary music, including Salmo de las America (Psalm of the Americas), by Cuban composer Jose Maria Vitier, nominated for a Latin Grammy in the year 2000.
