In Holguin Cuba the Music with Humor Festival to be Dedicated to the Guayabero Faustino Oramas
The birth place of the already deceased Cuban minstrel is hosting singers such as Eduardo "Tiburón" Morales, Irma Oramas and the humorists Carlos Gonzalvo (Mente Pollo) and the group Pagola la Paga, in order to pay tribute to the man who was an example of double meaning.

A show in front of the Holguín Trova House took place yesterday evening, greeting in this way during the early morning the 97 th anniversary of the birth of the Guayabero, who died on March 27, 2007 in this city, from the north eastern part of Cuba .

Yanelkis Piña, organizer of the event, told AIN that during the encounter there will be a talk on the life, work and importance of the troubadour, author of themes such as Marieta, La yuca de Casimiro and El tren de la vida.

Oramas was one of the main examples of an old son tradition, very deeply rooted in the eastern part of the country, which consisted on writing music with spicy and playful lyrics, and which became entertainment and social chronicles.

The king of double meaning wrote music since he was fifteen, when he sang with the septet La Tropical , while during the 1940´s he began to compose with his nutty style.

He received many awards and recognitions during his artistic trajectory, among them the National Humor Award and the Holguín Ax, the highest distinction given by the Government in this province.
