His busy Cuban agenda includes visits to special schools and scientific production centers.
In an exchange of views with leaders of the Island's Young Communist League, Ravinet confirmed that the situation of the 150 million youngsters living in the region will be the main issue brought up by OIJ to the meeting, scheduled for San Salvador in October.
He said that in the last summit held in Chile in 2007 it was proved that regional youth is among the most excluded and marginalized from power and decision-making, and expressed interest in holding a more participatory meeting to talk not only about young people, but with young people, Juventud Rebelde daily reported.
The OIJ is an international governmental body created to promote dialogue and cooperation regarding youth affairs among Ibero-American countries.
