The Cuban's Singer-Songwriter Silvio Rodríguez Back in Concert at the Karl Marx
The man who composed "El necio" has not performed live at that great Havana theater in years, and guest performers expected at his upcoming show include flautist and clarinet player Niurka González, percussionist Oliver Valdés, the Trovarroco trio and the quartet Sexto Sentido, according to the advance publicity.

For the rest of April, the celebrated trova singer was planning to continue with the first stage of a project called "Expedition," involving a tour by him and other artists of prisons in central and western Cuba.

In total, the tour included 11 prisons, and was a new version of a similar tour that Silvio made in the 1990s. This time, he is being joined by musicians Eliades Ochoa, Augusto Blanca, Carlos Ruiz de la Tejera, writer Jaime Sarusky, the female quartet Sexto Sentido, painter Ernesto Rancaño and film and video director Lester Hamlet.
