Levitin is presiding over the delegation from his country to the eighth session of the Cuban-Russian Intergovernmental Commission, which is involved in economic, commercial and scientific-technological cooperation.

During the fraternal encounter, the Cuban president highlighted the historical ties of friendship between the two peoples, the successful progress of bilateral relations and the exiting trust in the consolidation of bonds.

The co-chair of the Russia-Cuba Intergovernmental Commission was the bearer of a friendly message from President Vladimir Putin.

Also representing Cuba at the meeting was Ricardo Cabrisas, minister of Government and Co-chair of the Cuban-Russian Intergovernmental Commission, as well as the Cuban ambassador in Moscow, Jorge Martí Martínez.

Accompanying the visitor was the ambassador of the Russian Federation in Cuba, Andrey Victorovich Dmitriev, and the director of International Collaboration of the Ministry of Transport in that country, Alexander Alexeievich Andreiev.
