This figure represents a 32 % increase in relation to the program presented for the months of January and February, according to the information given to the press during recent visit of Vice-President José Ramón Machado Ventura to this province.

The young director of this factory, engineer Yosvany Losada, spoke about the project on processing 150 thousand tons, supported by the consumption of only one ton of Cuban oil to produce five tons of cement.

At the factory, 317 000 pesos were invested during 2007; with an impact in the attention to the people, whereas the conclusion of an air system was planned for 2008.

After knowing the high incomes in the payment of the staff, Machado Ventura said that he agrees that there should be a direct relation between the production and their payment.

The fulfillment of the plan (31 500 tons) during the trimester January-March is among the commitments of the staff, composed by 300 workers. Their effort in achieving good results is for the 40th anniversary of the foundation of the center, with reserves of raw material in its quarry that are supposed to last for more than a century.
