Cuban group Vocal Sampling has captivated the interest of the public and the critic in Spain
Press media from Madrid highlighted the great jump towards rock with the music of some electric guitars that appear only from the throats of the members of that group, declared the Granma newspaper quoting a dispatch from the EFE agency.

It was noted a version of Hotel California, by the U.S. group The Eagles. "That meant a lot of work," said the members of the Cuban group when they were asked by the Spanish press agency.

Vocal Sampling, born as a sounding game among friends from an academic institute, has become with the passing of years, one of the most surprising contemporary vocal groups from the island.

Their proposal is uncommon: the musicians integrated the sounds of the instruments to create a novel musical genre where not only the voice of the singer and the choirs are sung, but also the trumpets, pianos and percussions.

The starting point of the group was the year 1992, when several music students from the Escuela Nacional Superior de Arte (Higher National Art School) from Havana decided to make a vocal a capella group for fun.

According to specialists, the precise handling of the rhythm by the members of the Vocal Sampling, their deep knowledge on the Cuban musical culture and a microphone between them, make it possible the series of Caribbean tones that are so remarkable in voice arrangements.
