According to Prensa Latina news agency, Elio Fidel Lopez, cultural counsellor of the Cuban embassy in France, explained that due to the interest of the organizers of the event, 25 artists from the island are showing a varied exhibition of different Cuban artistic expressions.
Artisans from the Cuban provinces of Havana City, Pinar del Rio, Havana, Matanzas and Villa Clara are present in the Fair of Lyon, a city that has 500 hectares declared as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
Rosa Maria Jorge, of the Victor Manuel gallery of the Cuban Fund of Cultural Assets, said that the islands pavilion in the fair has 120 square meters where visitors can appreciate Cuban music, craftworks, and fashions, among other artistic expressions.
Lyon, the third French city in importance, hosted the National Day of Cuban Culture in 2007.
