Riviere arrived in Havana yesterday at the invitation of Culture Minister, Abel Prieto.
Cuban and UNESCO are cooperating in important education, scientific and cultural projects
During her stay in Havana, Riviere will meet with arts school directors, and cultural heritage, fine arts and cinema officials.
She will also meet with Havana City historian Eusebio Leal, to learn on the conservation and restoration work in Cuba first hand, especially in Old Havana, which was declared UNESCO Cultural Heritage in 1982.
Before winding up his visit to Havana on Satuday, she tour the San Antonio de los Baños Arts Teachers School, the National Fine Arts Museum and the Ernest Hemingway Museum.
