The 10th Festival of the Habano (Cuban Cigar) opens on Monday at the Convention Center in the Cuban capital
Organized by Habanos S.A. - a Cuban-French-Spanish joint company - the festival is a unique space for the presentation of new products that will join the collection of Cuban cigars, which are already distributed in more than 100 countries.

The event will take place until next Friday, February 29, and it will include the Associated Commercial Fair and an International Seminar that will facilitate the exchange of knowledge, experiences, products and ideas among participants.

There will also be conferences, contests and visits to tobacco plantations in San Juan y Martinez, in the westernmost province of Pinar del Rio, and to La Corona and H. Upmann factories in Havana.

These meetings will allow visitors to have a direct contact with artisans, painters, sculptors and producers linked to the cigar industry.

Habanos S.A. ratified its condition in 2007 as world leader in the market of Premium (hand-made) cigars.

Currently, it distributes a series of products with more than 240 formats under its 34 brands, including renowned ones such as Cohiba, Montecristo, Romeo y Julieta, Partagas, Hoyo de Monterrey, Quintero, H. Upmann, Punch, San Cristóbal de la Habana, Trinidad, and Cuaba.
