Most of the buildings belong to the health sector and several of them will be finished this year, among them, the new polyclinics in Ciro Redondo, Ceballos and the central area of the capital city.

Alberto Rivero Pérez, delegate of the Public Works Enterprise Group in the territory, expressed to the AIN that works in the polyclinics of Majagua, Florencia and the south area of Ciego city will also be impelled.

Other investments are carried out in a high school from the Ortiz district, two ophthalmologic surgery units and the enlargement of the Sport Initiation Provincial School.

Some 500 workers are engaged in remodelling the Doctor Antonio Luaces Iraola Hospital Provincial, at a cost of more than three million pesos and one million dollars, with an effort without precedents here in the building sector.

More than 50 enterprises participate in the renovation of the "Luaces Iraola", which will bring about a better service for the patients and their relatives, and more appropriate labour conditions for the health technicians and specialists.
