Closes their Doors the Sixth International Congress
Before concluding the forum at the Havana's International Conference Center, delegates from 50 countries expect to analyze ways to internationalize that kind of education in the region.

Also on the list is to tackle the function of new information technologies in training human resources and its incidence in the cooperation among universities and nations.

In a panel of education ministers, that of Venezuela Higher Education Luis Acuna called Thursday to foster students' training to defend their peoples' interests.

"It is necessary for universities to support revolutions in the area," stated Acuna alluding the processes of changes in Bolivia, Ecuador, Nicaragua and Venezuela.

Cuba's Communist Party Central Committee's International Relations Department chief Fernando Remirez de Estenoz spoke in a special conference on priorities of the island's foreign policy.

"The struggle for Latin American unity, against US hostility, and the release of five Cuban anti-terrorist fighters are among the main tasks," stated Remires de Estenoz.

The Cuban leader requested international support to free Gerardo Hernandez, Ramon Labanino, Antonio Guerrero, Rene Gonzalez and Fernando Gonzalez, unfairly imprisoned in United States for almost a decade.

Among the most represented delegations to the congress, started Monday, are Venezuela, Mexico, Cuba, Colombia, Brazil and Argentina.
