The Team of Havana City Province Won the 47th Playa Giron National Boxing Tournament
Thus, the squad of the Cuban capital kept the crown the won last year in Sancti Spiritus now with 53 points, four gold titles, two silver and two bronze medals.

The second spot of the competition was for Santiago de Cuba with 41 units, two crowns, three silver and two bronze medals while Pinar del Rio placed third with 38 points, two gold medals, two silver and three bronze.

Camagüey (24, 1-0-4), Guantanamo (22, 1-1-2), Holguin (17, 0-1-2), Sancti Spíritus (15, 0-2-1), Las Tunas (11, 1-0-0), Cienfuegos (8, 0-0-1) and Granma (6, 0-0-1) completed the top ten.

The champions on this occasion were Yampier Hernández (48 kg), Andry Laffita (51), Yankiel León (54), Iván Oñate (57), Yordenis Ugás (60), Rosniel Iglesias (64), Carlos Banteaux (69), Emilio Correa (75), Julio César la Cruz (81), Osmay Acosta (91) and Robert Alfonso (+91).

Precisely, Ugas and Correa, who was selected as the most technical boxer of the tournament, head the Cuban squad that will soon participate in the annual boxing tournament of Stranzha in Bulgaria.

Others in the team are Iglesias, Hernandez, Laffita, Banteaux, Acosta and Alfonso.
