The Cuban National Ballet will offer next January First the Gala for the 49th anniversary of the triumph of the Revolution, in the García Lorca salon, at five in the afternoon.
In this occasion the artists included in the Honor Book of the Gran Teatro de La Habana will be announced and the Yearly Award of the Gran Teatro de La Habana will be handed in.

A dream seller will take us today to the world of tragedy through its masks, value symbols and passions. Starting from this precept stems out the story of Shakespeare and his masks or Romeo and Juliet, one of the most liked pieces of the Cuban National ballet over the last few years, with a choreography of the general director of the Alicia Alonso company (Music: Charles Gounod. Orchestra adaptations: Juan Piñera. Script: José Ramón Neyra on the Romeo and Juliet tragedy by William Shakespeare. Set design: Ricardo Reymena. Wardrobe: Pedro Moreno. Lights design: Gloria Montesinos). They will take the stage of the García Lorca salon of the Gran Teatro de La Habana, on Tuesday, January 1st (5:00 pm), Thursday 3rd and Friday 4th (8:30 pm), Saturday 5th (5:00 and 8:30 pm) and Sunday 6th (5:00 pm).

Sundays performance will be a Gala dedicated to the 280 years of the foundation of the Havana University and the 85th anniversary of the creation of the Federación Estudiantil Universitaria (University Students Federation) (FEU in Spanish) and to the 85th anniversary of the Alma Mater Magazine.

The tickets are available in the box offices of the Gran Teatro de la Habana from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, starting Wednesday, December 26th.
