Joven Clubs from Santiago carry out activities for the triumph of the Revolution
The 52 Joven Club de Computación (Computing Young Clubs) from Santiago de Cuba joined the activities the people from Santiago are doing to celebrate the 49 anniversary of the triumph of the Revolution.

The leadership of this Revolution program in the territory is proposing from the 24th of December and until the 2nd of January 2008, the launch of a number of multimedia of historic topics, a chess network competition that will stimulate the learning and enjoyment of the science game and will also give conferences about the free software, an operation system expected to be applied in the near future.

The Joven Club will also call a digital art competition in order that children paint, develop their creativity and send messages to the Cuban revolution. They will also show movies about different moments of the Cuban independence fights.

A forum - debate organized at the Central Computing Palace in the Cuban capital will allow Cuban leaders and Revolution combatant to tell stories and experiences to the newer generations.

The festival "La familia y la computadora" (Family and computer) main goal is for the family to know the services given by such an important institution will take over the neighbouring communities, where, together with the Instituto Nacional de Deportes y recreación (National Institute of Sport and Recreation), will carry out recreational and cultural activities.

The Joven Clubs are arriving to a new anniversary of the Triumph of the Revolution with the wish of achieving the excellence in their work and with the hope to have more users in their locals. In order to achieve those objectives it is indispensable the preparation of the workers and the strong compromise and willingness of giving 24 hours services with the required quality.

Due to the sensibility of certain programs, such as the software Ojos en las manos(Eyes in the hands), a proposal of the Palma Soriano municipality, that links physical and mentally disable d people to computing it is also important to do a permanent communitarian job. Another important project is Gero Club that tries to familiarize third age people with the wide information technology universe.
