Pisco, Peru, Nov 18 (Prensa Latina) The work of the Cuban medical brigade in the city of Pisco, south of Peru, received different samples of great recognition after three months work.

Settlers interviewed by Prensa Latina highlighted the professionalism of the Cuban specialists who started work on August 18, three days after a violent quake.

Luis Hernandez, director of the San Juan de Dios Hospital, considered the work of the Cuban specialists a very good one

He said their contribution is very important to sustain the public health services in the zone and that the Cuban medical brigade has a close relation with the local authorities.

The Cuban brigade is also contributing with their experience to the prevention of disasters and other aspects.

He expressed the sentiment of gratitude of the people of Ica, because of the solidarity of the Cuban doctors and workers.

Hernandez and other officials took part in a scientific day made by Cuban doctors in the Antonio Maceo and Ernesto Che Guevara, with nearly 50 works presented.

Closing the day, local popular songwriter Chelo Espinoza sang to thank the Cuban doctors, and Cuban President Fidel Castro.
