 Brazilian President an Cuban Vice President Review Bilateral Relations
Cuban Vice President Carlos Lage met with Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula Da Silva to review the current state of bilateral relations.

The bilateral meeting took place on Saturday, just before the closing ceremony of the 17th Ibero-American Summit, which gathered togather 22 regional leaders.

The head of the Cuban delegation also met with Mexican Foreign Minister Patricia Espinosa, with whom he discussed bilateral relations and other issues of mutual interest.

On Friday night, Carlos Lage met with Chilean President Michelle Bachelet --the summit's host-- as well as with other participating Ibero-American leaders.

At the closing ceremony, the participating heads of state or government approved the Santiago Declaration, a Plan of Action and several special comuniques.

Alter the closing ceremony, some of the participating Ibero-American leaders are expected at a public activity at the National Stadium in the framework of the Peoples' Summit for Friendship ad Integration -called for by social and grassroots organizations--, which was held parallel to the summit of Ibero-American Heads of States.
