The 29th New Latin American Film Festival of Havana, which will be held from December 4 to 14, will open an international forum devoted to children and their audiovisual universe. In attendance will be specialists from Europe and Latin American.

The event will look to outline work for the upcoming 6th World Summit on Media for Children and Youth, which will be held in Sweden in 2010, reported the Prensa Latina News Agency.

The forum has its precursor the seminar "The Audiovisual Universe of Latin American Child," one of the traditional offerings of the Havana festival, which will acquire a new dimension this year.

The program of the forum will include lectures and discussion by experts from Brazil, the Netherlands, Germany, Italy and Cuba; and a discussion between members of the International Childhood and Youth Film Center and teachers from Mexico, Italy and Belgium, who will speak about their experiences in communications education.
