Renny Arozarena, protagonist of film El Benny by Jorge Luis Sánchez, was awarded as Best Actor due to his excellent role as the Bárbaro del Ritmo at the International Festival in Madrid Móstoles, which recently concluded after nine days of screenings.

This recognition enrolls the large list of awards obtained by this film: Best Opera Prima at the 28th Habana Film Festival, 2006; Best Opera Prima and Popularity Prize at the 9th International Movie Festival of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, 2007; among others and some others that this actor gained such as the Award to the Best Male Performance, conferred by the Association of Independent Critics at the Cinema Festival in Locarno, Italy 2006 and the Best Male Performance at the 9th International Movie Festival of Santo Domingo, 2007.
