4th international meeting on society and corruption challenges to be held  next week in Havana

About 400 experts from 30 countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America, the Caribbean and Europe confirmed their attendance to the 4th international meeting on society and corruption challenges to be held here next week, an official source said.

During a press conference on Friday, Cuban Deputy Attorney General Carlos Raul Concepcion explained that lawyers, judges, prosecutors, attorneys, legal consultants, comptrollers, auditors, customs officers, economists, sociologists and social workers are expected to attend the gathering at the Havana Convention Center on November 7-9.

The meeting is planned to contribute a broad exchange of experiences and discuss views and criteria on corruption, which is a hot issue of universal interest, he said.

State, society and law in the struggle against corruption are also among issues to be discussed by delegates, explained, for his part, the head of the Foreign Relations Department of the Cuban Attorney General's Office, Miguel Angel Garcia.
