Felipe Perez Roque, Cubas Foreign Minister is in New York for UN Assembly

Cuban Foreign Minister Felipe Perez Roque is in New York heading the countrys delegation to the 62nd UN General Assembly that begins Tuesday, September 25.

Perez Roque will participate in the General Assemblys High-level Event on Climate Change, called by UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon.

During his stay at the UN, Perez Roque will also chair a Ministerial Meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement Coordinating Bureau. There he will report to the 118-member countries on Cubas first of three years in the NAM presidency as well as the compliance with the agreements adopted at the September 2006 summit in Havana.

The Cuban foreign ministers agenda also includes important bilateral meetings and encounters with representatives of other countries.
