28th edition of the New Latin-American Cinema Festival

Among 18 feature length films compete for a Coral Award coming next December framed into the 28th edition of the New Latin-American Cinema Festival.

A word to quality film maker candidates, two of them being among top figures of the Latin American cinematography in the last decades, both awarded in previous Festival editions and equality credited worldwide: Argentinean Carlos Sorín and Peruvian Francisco Lombardi.

Since La película del rey premiered as well as Historias mínimas and Bombón, el perro, Carlos Sorín became one of the most sought-after directors for Cuban moviegoers.

Likewise Francisco Lombardi, top film maker in Peru and author of the renowned movies La ciudad y los perros and La boca del lobo, among others.

Both will present in Havana their latest works El camino de San Diego by the Argentinean and Mariposa negra by Sorín thus adding colour to the gathering in particular and to the continents filmography in general.
