Trinidad and Tobago toppled Cuba 3-1 in the clash of heavyweights as the Digicel Caribbean Cup football championship concluded its semi-final fixtures on Saturday night at the Hasely Crawford Stadium.

The Trinidad and Tobago Soca Warriors actually got their scoring momentum going with an own goal from the Cuba captain Jenier Molina and surged 3-0 ahead midway in the second half before completing a clear win over the Cubans.

This past week Cuba were reaffirmed as the Caribbean's No.1 ranked team for the third month in a row.

Eight-time Caribbean Cup champions Trinidad and Tobago will now contest the Digicel Cup final tomorrow against Haiti, who defeated Guadeloupe also 3-1 in the other semi-final.

Already with a 3-1 win over the Haitians in their final round group match last Wednesday, Trinidad and Tobago will now fancy their chances of adding to Caribbean Cup titles they have won in 1989, 1992, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1999, and 2001.
