Omara Portuondo, the golden voice of Cuban song, the "diva" of the Buena Vista Social Club project returns to the European stages to kick off a tour that will take her to UK, Belgium, Russia and Spain, where shes awaited by a highly excited public, because of the melodic sense of her performances, the broad register of her rhythms and the singularity of one of our greatest and universal artists.

This new tour off the old continent will begin on November 1 in the Catalan city of Gijón, where Portuondos scheduled to give a master concert with the accompaniment of the Symphony Orchestra of the said city, where shes well-known, for her recordings and previous performances, in which the lauded singer has taken to the European lands the warm mixture of etnities and cultures from the Caribbean.

According to organizers, Gijóns Jovellanos Theater has already sold out the tickets to attend the recital by the celebrated artist, who keeps her ever splendly harmonious, segnorial and happy voice with vitality and energy, despite her 76 years of life, which she will turn in her native and beloved Havana next October 29, some days before kicking off the tour.
