Cuban labor authorities announced the postponement of regulations on labor discipline of hours and day schedules, which come into force on January 2, but will not be put in effect until April.

Resolution 187.2006 will be postponed for three months and be applied as of April 1, according to a resolution signed by Labor and Social Security Minister Alfredo Morales published in its entirety Monday in Trabajadores newspaper.

The postponement responds to the need to assure the quality of this process, and give employers and employees more time and possibilities to arrange the necessary organizational measures for increased efficiency, discipline and optimization of workdays.
