Residents from Topes de Collantes mountains and nearby regions in the Cuban province of Sancti Spiritus are now able to watch good quality television broadcasts after the substitution of the old TV station by a new facility equipped with a state of the art technology.

William Napoles Escamilla, head of the Radiocuba commercial group in the province told Escambray that the task was carried out by local skillful specialists who began to work on it at the end of December 2006 and concluded in nearly three months time.

It was a very expensive project mainly aimed to avail residents from the most remote areas of Sancti Spiritus region of the latest nationwide TV channel signal. Besides, there is a second stage for the installation of new radio transmission lines.

Reports of coverage studies demonstrate that many other towns and communities around Trinidad territory have also been benefited with the new TV station.
