Ibero-American Ministers will focus attention on the situation of youth in that region, during their 8th conference in Havana, October 19-20.

The forum will be attended by representatives from 21 member countries of the Ibero-American Youth Organization, founded on September 16, 1992 as agreed by the Organization of Ibero-American States.

The objective of the youth organization is to promote the dialogue, agreements, and cooperation programs allowing to improve the situation of young people in the region.

Cuba has been an active participant since the first intergovernmental conference was held in Spain in 1987, taking part in the training of officials in charge of the design and implementation of youth-related policies as well.
