Guitar Orchestras Festival in Las Tunas

The First National Guitar Orchestras Festival opened in eastern Las Tunas city with the participation of seven groups from across the country.
The inauguration gala features two orchestra made up of elementary and intermediate level musicians from the Las Tunas Arts School.
The music feast, which will run until May 14th, will include two presentations in the city's main theatre, as well as lectures and the screening of specialized videos.
The participants in the event will also take their art to the province's municipalities.
According to Ramon Carlos Leyva, one of the organizers of the event and director of the Issac Nicola orchestra from Las Tunas, the quality in the interpretation of classic guitar by local students weighed heavily on the decision to select Las Tunas as the venue for the orchestra festival.
