A delegation from the Union of Cuban Journalists (UPEC, in Spanish), led by its president Tubal Paez, wound up a visit to China on Monday.

Their agenda included meetings with leaders and reporters, press groups of Beijing radio and television and other important cities of this nation, as well as a briefing on the arrangements for the 2008 Olympic Games and the Shanghai 2010 Universal Exhibition.

Tubal Paez said before leaving China, that journalists from both countries agreed on the importance of media cooperation between the two countries. This visit helped to strengthen ties between Cuba's Journalists Association and the Association of Journalists of All China.

The Cuban delegation was made up of Bohemia magazine director José Fernández, UPEC president in Camaguey Luis Naranjo and Graciela Requejo, from Habana Channel.
