Cuban dancers acclaimed in Denmark

Viengsay Valdés and Rómel Frómeta, first dancers from the Cuban National Ballet, returned to Havana after performing succesfully in Copenhaguen, invited to the Star Gala, offered by the Denmark Royal Ballet.

The Cuban couple was applauded after its interpretation of the famous pas de deux of the third act of Don Quixote, one of the emblematic titles of classical dance and of which the Cuban company makes a true creation.

Taking into account its artistic values, the Denmark Royal Ballet will stage for its cast the complete version of Don Quixote which is the repertoire of the Cuban National Ballet, with an artistic direction and choreography by the prima ballerina assoluta Alicia Alonso. The Cuban staging dazzles by its equilibrium, stylistic authenticity, drama coherence and choreographyc wealth.
