Cuba United Methodist Church to hold 'Hanging of the Greens

Cuba United Methodist Church will hold its "Hanging of the Greens" event at 5 p.m. Nov. 28.
Dinner of soup and sandwiches will be provided for those who attend to decorate the church for the Christmas season.
"We need everyone to come and help -- if you can unpack ornaments, untangle lights, put a Christmas tree, or just come for moral support, your help is needed," a statement from the church said.

Also, the church is again collecting mittens, gloves, stocking caps and scarves for children of the community.
When the "Hanging of the Greens" event is held, the Mitten Tree will be put up, and any of those items that are provided will be used to help decorate that tree. The Mitten Tree has been a tradition in the church for several years.
