The Henry Wallace Brigade is back in Kentucky.

Twenty-three Louisvillians who traveled to Cuba as part of the brigade returned home Wednesday and Thursday.

The group, named in honor of local activist Henry Wallace who died last year, used their trip to challenge U.S. travel restrictions to the island. It is not illegal to travel to Cuba, but it is against the law for Americans to spend money there without permission from the U.S. government.

The group said they faced no problems upon their return to the United States.
While the main goal of their trip was educational, Bob Cunningham, one of the participants, pointed out that, "you cant go to Cuba and not enjoy their music, dance and culture and all that."
