The CD consists of 320 photographs, 25 short videos and 9 books edited by the Cuban Institute of History (IHC), the promoter of this initiative.
Among the material included, there is one of the most famous snapshots of Fidel Castro by photographer Liborio Noval and the poem "El tiempo no devora redentores" ("Time does not devour redeemers") specially written for this project by late Cuban poet Jesus Orta Ruiz.
The CD also includes several speeches which constitute landmarks in the last 40 years of Cuba's history. There is the declaration of the Cuban Communist Party and the most recent concept of the Revolution stated by the Cuban President on May 1st, 2000.
According to Dolores Guerra, one of the heads of the project, the multimedia was produced with the cooperation of the Cuban Company of Information Technologies and Advanced Tele-informatic Services (CITMATEL).
Likewise, Guerra pointed out that this is the first audiovisual material with thematic selections on the leader of the Cuban Revolution. The multimedia will be distributed to provincial libraries and higher educational centers across the island.
