Colombia, Cuba for joint health plan
A complementary agreement on health cooperation reached Wednesday allows Colombia and Cuba to foster programs and research in this sphere.
The document, signed by Colombia s Social Protection Minister Diego Palacio and Cuba s Public Health Minister Jose Ramon Balaguer, also enables bilateral collaboration in health, science and technology.
The two nations will specifically develop and broaden programs on health promotion and prevention, early detection and protection.
The text to which Prensa Latina had access stated it is an extension of the economic and scientific-technical cooperation agreement signed between Colombia and Cuba on September 30, 1980.
The accord is due to last four years from its signing, and is extendable for equal periods.
