Albis Fabier, president of the organizing committee told AIN the meeting will hold sessions at Heredia theatre and will tackle nutrition during health state and disease, food culture, antioxidants' role and dietary habits, among others.

General Doctors, specialists like biologists, obstetricians, intensive care experts, nurses, stomatologists, druggists and biochemists will bring about a multidisciplinary analysis of the item.

Either developed or underdeveloped countries focused their attention on the health sector since malnutrition and bad dietary habits unfortunately affect the patient's responds to the disease and treatments.

Cuba will show the results and perspectives of the work in hospitals dealing with the education process, training human resources and teaching the population regarding those items.

The scientific program involves plenary sessions, workshops, round conferences, symposiums and posters.

The congress is sponsored by the Cuban Society of Clinical Nutrition, the National Institute of Nutrition and Food Hygiene, Public Health Provincial Board and the Doctors University of Santiago de Cuba.
