Ceramist exposition
Donations by artists from 19 countries of Latin America, Europe, Africa and Asia make up the most extraordinary exhibition of ceramics in the Cuban eastern city of Camagüey.

Specialists from the Provincial Center of Plastics Arts agreed that a sample like this has no precedents in Camagüey history, because of its thematic diversity and large geographic representation.

Displayed at the city gallery located on the República street, the sample contains figures that were authored by the delegates that recently participated at the 5th Artistic Ceramics International Symposium held here, some 530 kilometers east of Havana.

Like in other editions of this meeting, the donations are intended to increase the funds of the future museum of the artistic ceramics to be opened in Camagüey.

Vessels, figurines and objects with abstract shapes provide an eloquent evidence of the high quality of the creations, based on a wide variety of themes, styles and techniques.

Thimo Pimentel (Dominican Republic), Vilma Villaverde (Argentina), Lowel Baker (USA), Rossano Cavallari (Italy), Ossama Mahmoud Emam (Egypt), Rikio Hakudo Hashimoto (Japan) and Feyza Cakir Ozgundogdo (Turkey) are some of the foreign exhibitors.

The Cuban delegation includes ceramicists like Oscar Rodríguez Lasseria, Martha Jiménez, Rogelio Oliva y Pastor Fumero
