An homage under the title Compay Segundo 100 Años (Compay Segundo 100 Years) will be held in Santiago de Cuba, to honor the centennial of Francisco Repilado (1907-2003).
The commemorative event will start at Dolores Hall from this oriental city with a concert featuring versions by this legendary trovasonero, in charge of the Symphonic Orchestra and a group pf Italian musicians.
The National Fine Arts Museum will also exhibit, from November 9, an exhibition featuring 20 artworks devoted to Compay Segundo, made by Cuban famous painters.
