Varadero is one of the largest resort areas in the Caribbean. It is situated on the Hicacos Peninsula and at the northeastern end of the peninsula there is a nature reserve with virgin forests and beaches. Varadero is foremost a tourist resort town, boasting more than 20 km of white sandy beaches.
