Geraldine Chaplin will be part of the jury and will be awarded in Havana Film Festival
The 37th edition of the International Festival of New Latin American Cinema will be inaugurated tonight at Karl Marx Theater. This year's edition includes the presence of British actress Geraldine Chaplin, who will be the president of the jury of fiction.
She will also receive at the opening ceremony the Coral Prize for best actress in leading role, awarded last year to the film Dolares de Arena (Dominican Republic, Argentina, and Mexico), in which she plays a difficult role of a pretty senior woman paying company in the sex tourism in the Dominican beaches.
Geraldine Chaplin is well known and respected in Cuba, not only for the love that his father inspired, but through her work of many years with the Spanish filmmaker Carlos Saura in extraordinary films like Ana y los lobos (Anna and the wolves) or Mamá cumple cien años (Mom one hundred years old).
