Texas’ businessmen see Cuba as the new frontier in relation to the opening of the island to foreign investment, according to the American newspaper Dallas News.
Businesses in the southern state advocate for generating jobs and millions of dollars through trade with the Caribbean country, as this normalizes its relations with the United States.
Texas could witness a total economic impact of $ 43 billion and more than 200 new working options behind the increase in exports and other trade with Cuba, according to a recent report by the A&M University.
To boost the initial efforts of this relationship, Texas governor Greg Abbott is leading a large business delegation from that state, who arrived Monday in Havana.
