Danny Glover visits Cuba again
American actor Danny Glover arrived in Cuba, a country he visits the last twenty years and to which he always returns with an open heart, to listen, learn and grow.
Between smiles and hugs was the reencounter of Glover and the Cuban hero Gerardo Hernandez, who he visited several times while serving unjust sentence in a California prison.
Today is a beautiful day, said Glover, who joined the international campaign for the return of the Five to Cuba and denounced the media silence surrounding the case of the Cuban Five.
When I joined the Liberation Committee for the Five and watched these men were aware of their responsibility to humanity, I saw in them a bridge to the world of justice and equality that we want to build, said Glover.
In one of his visits to Havana, Glover received the International Film Award Tomas Gutierrez Alea, awarded by the National Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC by its Spanish acronym).
